The Sri Lanka Inland Revenue Department has issued a Notice to Taxpayers on the requirement to register for the new Social Security Contribution Levy (SSCL). As previously reported, the 2.5% SSCL was recently approved and implemented with effect from 1 October 2022, with most taxable persons required to register.
