Sweden has published the Act on the repeal of the tax on plastic carrier bags (SFS 2023:802) and the related Ordinance (SFS 2023:808), which provide for the repeal of the tax on plastic carrier bags with effect from 1 November 2024. The repeal of the tax was included as part of the Budget for 2024.
