Swiss Federal Council Adopts Ordinance Amendment for Pillar 2 Income Inclusion Rule from 2025

The Swiss Federal Council has announced its decision to amend the Minimum Taxation Ordinance to bring the Pillar 2 Income Inclusion Rule (IIR) into force with effect from 1 January 2025. As previously reported, the Federal Council first announced its decision to bring the IIR into force in September 2024, which is referred to as the international supplementary tax. The Swiss supplementary tax (QDMTT) has already entered into force with effect from 1 January 2024.
