On 24 September 2018, the Swiss parliament approved the pending protocol to the 1994 income and capital tax treaty with Ecuador and the pending income tax treaty with Zambia.
The protocol to the treaty with Ecuador, signed 26 July 2017, inserts a new Article 25 bis (Exchange of Information), which is in line with the OECD standard for exchange of information upon request and will enter into force once the ratification instruments are exchanged.
