Swiss Voters Reject Increased Taxation of Individual Capital Income

On 26 September 2021, the Swiss electorate voted to reject a proposal that would have increased the taxation of capital income for individuals. As previously reported, the proposal essentially provided that tax on capital income, above a certain amount, would be calculated on 1.5 times the capital income amount. Nearly 65% of voters rejected the proposal.
