On 4 June 2014, the Swiss National Council adopted the law ratifying Switzerland's tax information exchange agreement (TIEA) with Guernsey. The agreement covers Swiss federal, cantonal and communal taxes on income and capital, and Guernsey taxes on income and dwelling profits.
The TIEA will enter into force once the ratification instruments are exchanged and will apply for requests made on or after that date regarding tax periods beginning on or after 1 January of the following year.
