On 20 December 2017, the Swiss Federal Council announced the initiation of the consultation for the ratification of the Multilateral Convention to Implement Tax Treaty Related Measures to Prevent BEPS (MLI), as well as the recently signed protocol to amend 1977 income tax treaty, which includes certain BEPS amendments. The MLI and protocol were signed by Switzerland on 7 June 2017 and 30 November 2017, respectively. The consultation will last until 9 April 2018.
