The Swiss electorate is scheduled to vote on 26 September 2021 for a proposal that would increase the taxation of capital income for individuals. The proposal essentially provides that tax on capital income, above a certain amount, would be calculated on 1.5 times the capital income amount. If approved in the scheduled vote, the amount above which the increased taxation would apply is to be set by parliament.
