According to a press release published on 22 October 2014, the Swiss Federal Council has launched the consultation procedure for the Federal Act on the Unilateral Application of the OECD Standard on the Exchange of Information (GASI). The Act allows Switzerland to amend its tax treaties that are not yet compliant with the international standard for the exchange of information upon request. The unilateral application would require reciprocity by the requesting State.
