Switzerland has set a referendum deadline of 10 July 2025 for the pending income tax treaties with Angola and Jordan. The treaties were given final approval in parliament on 21 March 2025
The tax treaty with Angola, signed 30 November 2023, is the first of its kind between the two countries. It will enter into force once the ratification instruments are exchanged and will generally apply from 1 January of the year following its entry into force.
