As part of Switzerland's efforts to improve VAT enforcement and collection, the Swiss Federal Council has announced that non-resident companies providing services in Switzerland must indicate their Swiss VAT number. The VAT number must be indicated in the context of the online declaration procedure which is applicable to foreign service providers temporarily employed in Switzerland.
