According to recent reports, the tax information exchange agreement between Bermuda and New Zealand entered into force on 15 December 2017. The agreement, signed 16 April 2009, is the first of its kind between the two countries. It generally applies in relation to all covered matters for taxable periods beginning on or 1 January 2019, or where there is no taxable period, all charges to tax arising on or after that date.
