On 3 September 2014, officials from Guernsey and Macau signed a tax information exchange agreement. The agreement is the first of its kind between the two jurisdictions.
The agreement will enter into force 30 days after the ratification instruments are exchanged. It will apply for criminal tax matters from the date of its entry into force, and for all other matters from 1 January of the year following its entry into force.
