On 26 February 2019, Taiwan's National Taxation Bureau of the Northern Area issued guidance on the tax benefit for foreign professionals. The tax benefit was introduced to attract foreign professionals to work in Taiwan and provides for a 50% reduction in the amount of taxable income exceeding TWD 3 million for the first three years of employment in Taiwan.
