Taiwan Clarifies VAT Registration Obligation for Suppliers of Cross-Border Electronic Services from 1 May

On 21 April 2017, Taiwan's Ministry of Finance published an English-language release clarifying that from 1 May 2017, foreign suppliers of cross-border electronic services to domestic individuals will need to register and account for VAT if their annual sales amount exceeds TWD 480,000.
