Proposed legislation introducing corporate tax incentives for Taiwanese businesses that increase wages for their employees has passed committee review and will be sent to parliament. The legislation, if approved by parliament, would amend the Statute for Small and Medium Enterprise Development to provide a 130% deduction for increased payroll expenses for existing domestic employees.
