Taiwan and the U.S. Considering Income Tax Agreement

According to a release from the Office of the President of Taiwan, officials from Taiwan and the U.S. met on 17 January 2023 to discuss bilateral cooperation, trade, and other issues, including the potential signing of an income tax agreement. Any resulting agreement would be the first of its kind between the two jurisdictions and would need to be finalized, signed, and ratified before entering into force.
