Taiwan's Ministry of Finance recently announced the basic living expense for 2024, which has been set at TWD 210,000 (up from TWD 202,000 for 2023). The basic living expense of TWD 210,000, less other exemptions and deductions specified in the Income Tax Act, is deductible for individual income tax filing in May 2025. In the case of a household, the basic living expense of TWD 210,000 is multiplied by the number of people in the household.
