The Tax Executives Institute (TEI) has submitted comments to US Treasury Department on the fifth protocol to the UnitedStates-Cananda income tax treaty. The protocol was signed on 21 September 2007. The TEI urges that the protocol be submitted to the US Senate for ratification as soon as possible and that the TEI comments be taken into account by the US Treasury Department when drafting the US Technical Explanation to the protocol.
