According to a release from the Azerbaijan Ministry of Taxes, officials from Azerbaijan and India met on 18 April 2019 to discuss bilateral cooperation, including the signing and implementation of an income and capital tax treaty. The treaty would be the first of its kind between the two countries, and must be finalized, signed, and ratified before entering into force.
