Tax Treaty between Cyprus and Kyrgyzstan Under Negotiation

According to a release from the Kyrgyzstan Ministry of Economy and Commerce, officials from Cyprus and Kyrgyzstan began the first round of negotiations for an income tax treaty on 19 September 2023. Any resulting treaty will need to be finalized, signed, and ratified before entering into force and, once in force and effective, will replace the 1982 tax treaty between Cyprus and the former Soviet Union, which generally continues to apply in respect of Cyprus and Kyrgyzstan.
