Officials from Egypt and Kazakhstan met on 17 April 2022 to discuss preparations for the signing of an income tax treaty. Negotiations for the treaty began in 2016 and were concluded in 2019. The treaty will be the first of its kind between the two countries and must be signed and ratified before entering into force.
