On 12 September 2019, the Estonian Government authorized the signing of an income tax treaty with Hong Kong. Officials from the two sides concluded negotiations for the treaty on 21 November 2018. The treaty will be the first of its kind between the two countries and must be signed and ratified before entering into force.
