Officials from Haiti and Vietnam met 11 to 16 June 2018 to discuss bilateral relations and agreed to begin negotiations for an income tax treaty. Any resulting treaty would be the first of its kind between the two countries, and must be finalized, signed, and ratified before entering into force.
