On 2 March 2020, Oman's Economic and Financial Committee reportedly authorized the signing of an income tax treaty with Ireland on 2 March 2020. Negotiations for the treaty were concluded in 2017. The treaty will be the first of its kind between the two countries and must be signed and ratified before entering into force.
