Tax Treaty between Japan and Turkmenistan Under Negotiation

Japan's Ministry of Finance has announced the launch of negotiations for a new income tax treaty with Turkmenistan on 3 July 2023. The treaty must be finalized, signed, and ratified before entering into force and, once in force and effective, will replace the 1986 tax treaty between Japan and the former Soviet Union as it applies in respect of Japan and Turkmenistan.
