Tax Treaty between Japan and Uzbekistan under Negotiation

On 10 September 2019, officials from Japan and Uzbekistan met to begin the first round of negotiations for an income tax treaty. Any resulting treaty must be finalized, signed, and ratified before entering into force and, once in force and effective, will replace the 1986 tax treaty between Japan and the former Soviet Union as it applies in respect of Japan and Uzbekistan.
