On 5 May 2025, the Montenegro government authorized the signing of an income and capital tax treaty with Liechtenstein. Negotiations were concluded with the initialing of the treaty on 13 March 2025. The treaty will be the first of its kind between the two countries and must be signed and ratified before entering into force.
