According to a release from the Taiwan Ministry of Finance, officials from Saudi Arabia and Taiwan signed an income tax treaty on 2 December 2020. The treaty is the first of its kind between the two jurisdictions and will enter into force after the ratification instruments are exchanged and will apply from 1 January of the year following its entry into force. Details of the treaty will be published once available.
