On 17 October 2018, the Czech government approved the signing of an income tax treaty with Kyrgyzstan. The treaty between the two countries has been under negotiation for several years, with a first draft initialed in 2014 and a revised draft initialed in April 2018. The treaty will be the first of its kind between the two countries and must be signed and ratified before entering into force.
