On 20 December 2017, the Dutch government submitted to parliament the bill for the ratification of the Multilateral Convention to Implement Tax Treaty Related Measures to Prevent BEPS (MLI), which the Netherlands signed on 7 June 2017. The ratification will reportedly be completed in the first half of 2018 with the provisions of the MLI to generally apply from 1 January 2019, subject to ratification of the MLI by the relevant signatories.
