On 5 March 2009, the Belgian Upper House approved the income and capital tax treaty and protocol between Belgium and Tunesia, signed on 7 October 2004, by way of Law No. 4-1163. Once in force the new treaty will generally replace the |Belgium-Tunisia income and capital tax treaty of 22 February 1975.
