On 2 April 2009, Bulgaria ratified the income and capital tax treaty and protocol between Bulgaria and Austria, signed on 12 February 2009, by way of the ratification law published in the Official Gazette No. 28 of 14 April 2009. Once in force, the treaty will replace the Bulgaria- Austria income and capital tax treaty of 20 April 1983.
