The income tax treaty between China (People's Rep.) and Malta, signed on 23 October 2010, entered into force on 25 August 2011. The treaty generally applies from 1 January 2012. From this date, the new treaty generally replaces the China (People's Rep.)-Malta income tax treaty and protocol of 2 February 1993.
