The new income tax treaty between Finland and Canada, signed on 20 July 2006, enters into force on 17 January 2007. The treaty generally applies with retroactive effect from 1 January 2006. From this date, the new treaty generally replaces the Finland-Canada income tax treaty of 28 May 1990.
