Treaty between Finland and India enters into force

The income tax treaty and protocol between Finland and India, signed on 15 January 2010, entered into force on 19 April 2010. The treaty generally applies from 1 January 2011 for Finland and from 1 April 2011 for India. From these dates, the new treaty and protocol generally replaces the Finland-India income and capital treaty of 10 June 1983 as amended by the 1997 protocol.
