The income tax treaty betweenMalaysia-Qatar, signed on 3 July 2008, entered into force on 28 January 2009. The treaty generally applies in Malaysia from 1 January 2010 for income/withholding taxes and 1 January 2011 for petroleum income tax. In Qatar, it applies from 1 January 2010.
