The first-time income tax treaty between Morocco and Malaysia , signed on 2 July 2001, entered into force on 31 December 2006. The treaty generally applies in Morocco from 1 January 2007 for withholding taxes and 1 January 2008 for other taxes and in Malaysia it applies from 1 January 2007 for other taxes and 1 January 2008 for petroleum tax.
