Treaty between United States and Belgium approved

The United States Senate Foreign Relations Committee approved the new income tax treaty and protocol between the United States and Belgium 06, on 31 October 2007. The agreement will now be sent to the full US Senate for ratification. Once ratified, in force and effective, the new treaty will generally replace the Belgium-United States income tax treaty of 9 July 1970.
