Treaty and amending protocol between Netherlands and South Africa enters into force

The income and capital tax treaty signed on 10 October 2005 and the amending protocol to the treaty signed on 8 July 2008 between the Netherlands and South Africa, will both enter into force on 28 December 2008. The treaty and the amending protocol generally apply from 1 January 2009. From this date, the new treaty and its amending protocol generally replace the Netherlands-South Africa income tax treaty and protocol of 15 March 1971.
