The income tax treaty and protocol between Austria and Turkey signed on 28 March 2008, will enter into force on 1 October 2009. The treaty generally applies from 1 January 2010. From this date, the new treaty generally replaces the Austria-Turkey income and capital tax treaty of 3 November 1970.
