On 12 June 2012, the Canada - Colombia Income and Capital Tax Treaty (2008) entered into force. The treaty generally applies in Canada from 1 January 2013. It applies in Colombia from 1 January 2013 for income tax matters and from 12 June 2012 for all other tax matters.
