On 12 September 2013, the Hungary - Switzerland Income and Capital Tax Treaty (2013) was signed, in Budapest. Once in force and effective, the new treaty will replace the Hungary - Switzerland Income and Capital Tax Treaty (1981). The new treaty contains an article on exchange of information complying with the new international standards.
