Treaty between Portugal and South Africa enters into force

The income tax treaty and protocol between Portugal and South Africa, signed on 13 November 2006, entered into force on 22 October 2008. The treaty generally applies from 1 January 2009. From this date, the new treaty generally replaces the Portugal –South Africa income tax treaty on sea and air transport of 2 August 1957
