The income tax treaty and protocol between Singapore and Belgium, signed on 6 November 2006, entered into force on 27 November 2008. The treaty generally applies from 1 January 2009. From this date, the new treaty generally replaces the Singapore-Belgium income tax treaty of 8 February 1972 and the amending protocol of 10 December 1996.
