Treaty negotiations between Germany and United Arab Emirates – developments

On 13 October 2008, the German Ministry of Finance announced that during the third round of negotiations held in October 2008 for a substantially new tax treaty between Germany and the United Arab Emirates, the parties could not agree on a new tax treaty. Both parties agreed on a possible new round of negotiations, in case the continuing written exchange of opinions as agreed, leads to a realistic chance of an agreement.
