Trinidad and Tobago's Ministry of Finance recently issued a release announcing that the tax amnesty period has been extended to 19 May 2023 to give businesses and individuals more time to prepare their financial statements and finalize the necessary documentation to submit their tax returns and pay the taxes due. The tax amnesty, originally launched on 14 November 2022, provides relief from penalties and interest on taxes owed up to and including the year ending 31 December 2021.
