Effective 4 June 2024, the Trump Administration doubled the Section 232 tariffs on U.S. imports of steel articles and derivative steel articles, and aluminum articles and derivative aluminum articles, from 25% to 50% ( Presidential Proclamation). Imports from the UK, however, will remain subject to 25% tariffs, with a possible increase depending on the status of the U.S.-UK Economic Prosperity Deal.
