The Tunisian government has expanded the scope of goods eligible for a VAT reduction and customs exemption due to COVID-19. This originally included a reduction of the VAT rate on personal protective equipment (such as gloves, masks, sanitizer, etc.) to 7% from 18 April to 31 December 2020, as well as an exemption from customs duties on imports of inputs needed for the production of such goods during the same period.
