On 30 November 2023, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan signed the decisions for the ratification of the pending tax treaties with Cambodia, Nigeria, Senegal, Siera Leone, and Sri Lanka.
The income tax treaty with Cambodia was signed on 27 February 2022 and is the first of its kind between the two countries. The treaty will enter into force once the ratification instruments are exchanged and will apply from 1 January of the year following its entry into force.
